Programs
Three things we do, and where each one is headed. Tap a card to jump to the details.
Educational Support
Many students from low-income families are unable to continue their education due to financial limitations. SEER Trust pays school and college fees directly to the educational institution — never as cash — for students selected on economic background and academic performance, identified through schools, colleges, and local community leaders.
- School and college fee support
- Merit-cum-means scholarships
- Educational materials — books, notebooks, uniforms, stationery
- Career guidance and skill-development workshops
- Mentoring and counseling
The Trust has also funded production of educational videos for schools run by ASSEFA (Association for Sarva Seva Farms), a network of over 180 rural and matriculation schools across Tamil Nadu built on Gandhian values and community development.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Training
Free, hands-on training in emergency response and first aid — offered to school teachers, students in 10th grade and above, and rural and urban communities across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, led by volunteer doctors and certified trainers. A minimum of 35 participants is needed to organize a session.
- Introduction to emergency care
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Management of choking emergencies
- Recovery position techniques
- Heat stroke and common first-aid emergencies
- Do's and don'ts for snake bite, bee sting, and drowning
Training combines classroom sessions, practical demonstrations, and hands-on practice, and concludes with certificates for every participant. See our progress on the Impact page, or request a training for your school.
